The reason I started with network marketing/mlm was because a client of mine wanted me to write some content for a website he was setting up. This website promoted some mlm companies, including one that gave some inspirational training - and as I had nothing against mlms at the time, I took the work and wrote the stuff -and very happy he was too

Of course, in doing this work, I needed to look at exactly what it was he was promoting. At no time did he try to sell it to me - I just became more intrigued each time I looked at it. I loved the idea of a company that taught you how to be successful in life as well as providing you with the means to make money! This got me started on an adventure that I have not regretted for one moment.

The program that so intrigued me was Success University. I read the information on the website and then I listened to the video. This was a program that was all about being successful in life - in relationships, in finance, in business, as well as being a successful entrepreneur. I was also amazed at the business opportunity it presented. It did not take me long to sign up.

This tells me something fundamental about this business - you don’t need to do a hard sell to get someone to buy! If it’s a great product, it generally sells itself.

In turn, I then found the PlugInProfitSite with its excellent, step-by-step training for promoting and marketing your own money-making website - all set up for you. Success University was one of the programs that PIPS promotes - so joining this was a no-brainer.

Inspirational training is essential for anyone starting a home business and both Success University and PIPS have it in abundance.

Anyone setting up a home business will have a great advantage if they understand something about internet marketing. However, for the person who is new to internet marketing, it can appear to be an overwhelming and difficult area to understand.

Many people sign up for multi-level-marketing sites because they see a way of earning some money quickly and easily. Unfortunately, unless they have very good training or seek advice, the system may not work for them. This is because they do not understand the basics of internet marketing.

Learning the basics is not quite as difficult as it may first appear, and there are plenty of places where you can seek help with internet marketing.

First of all, you need to check the company you have joined to see if they have an adequate training program. If they do, make sure they include marketing techniques such as blogging, article writing, search engine optimization, pay-per-click advertising, back-linking and directories - or at least some links to where you can learn these.

If your company does not offer this, you might like to consider signing up with a company that offers step-by-step training such as the popular PlugInProfitSite.

Alternatively, you could find a network marketing forum and post questions. Many people in these forums have been in the business for years and are only too willing to help out people who are new to internet marketing. Some people may be prepared to offer you a free training e-book or give you links to training sites.

If you are new to internet marketing and are feeling there is too much to learn, remember to focus on one thing at a time, have patience and be prepared to learn from the experts. Above all, remember that you are not alone. Many people have been in your position and gone on to build extremely successful businesses.
