More Traffic For Website Owners: Marketing With Articles

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

Any website owner wants one thing first and foremost:  Traffic.  Without traffic to your website, there will be no sales.  It’s a bit like setting up a market stall in the middle of the Sahara Desert!  No matter how great your products are, or how beautiful your website is, it won’t mean a thing if no-one can see it!

There are, of course, many ways of increasing traffic to your website, but I think most experienced internet marketers would agree that one of the best ways (and, in fact, one of the cheapest) of increasing traffic for website owners is through marketing with articles.

Now, some people find this a little daunting.  Perhaps you are not a natural writer, or perhaps English is not your first language or you may have no idea how to go about submitting articles and how it all works.  How do you get traffic to your website by writing articles?

Well, I have a gift for you.  The people at Article Marketer have produced a free ebook called: The 4 Ridiculously Simple Keys to Online Success

This ebook is a step-by-step guide in how to submit articles, how much to write, how often you should submit and how to track your submissions.

They’ve kept it fairly short, so it’s easy to read and simple to follow.  You will find that article marketing is much less complicated than you might have thought, and you will be well on the way to getting targetted traffic to your website within days.  You can download this FREE ebook below:

By the way, this book is fully re-brandable, so if you are a member of Article Marketer already, you can re-brand this book and give it away to others.

Ways to Make an Honest Inome

Monday, July 14th, 2008

Today I want to share an email I just received from fellow life coach, Neil Crofts.  Neil has a website called Authentic Transformation and he helps people to create authentic businesses, and create an honest income with integrity.

I have a great deal of respect and admiration for Neil, which is why whenever he sends me something, I usually take notice!  Today he has sent a link to a free e-book about our relationship with money and the best way to make it work for us.

I have copied his email and the link below:

 Money, Money Money

What is the deal with our relationship with money?

Most of us have extremely complicated ideas about money. Some are obsessed with getting more of it, some regard it as dangerous and bad. Some peoples lives are dominated by it, some simply cannot keep hold of it.

Many of us would like to have a bit more, maybe a lot more, but perhaps few of us understand how to have more without selling our souls. Many of us find it hard to understand how valuable we are.

Perhaps it is because money is such a deceptively simple way to put a price on someone’s worth that we find it so difficult.

My own relationship with money has been challenging and improves as I continue to learn and understand it better. I have experienced all of the above at different times in my life as well as real fear when there appears to have been a critical shortage.

As I have learned more about money, largely from direct personal experience, my fears are reduced and more easy to control.

Through my coaching and consultancy work with businesses I have discovered just how common these fears around money are. So I have put together another e-book to help people find a more balanced relationship with money.

You can download it for free at www.authentictransformation.co.uk

Let me know how you get on with it and please tell others about it too.

With love

Listen to Books While You Work

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

If you are very busy, you might feel that you just don’t have time to read books. If, like me, you love books, this could be very frustrating. For the internet marketer, particularly, there are so many self help books always being promoted that you could feel that you are missing out. The answer is to listen to books while you are doing something else.

I can’t always listen to something while I’m working, but it really depends on what I’m doing. While I’m writing or reading I need either silence or undemanding music. But there are plenty of other things that I have to do on automatum when I could quite happily listen to a voice. Developing my website, accounts, clearing my inbox etc, or even non-business things such as housework are the type of boring activities which would be greatly enhanced by a good story or motiviational stuff.

Also, if you’ve got kids who spend more time on the computer than you’d like them to rather than reading, audio books might be an answer.

As an affiliate of Leisure Audio Books, I really believe they have a great product. The quality of their audio books is excellent and they have a wide range of all genres.

Have a look at what they have on offer through these links:

Business Audio Books

Self Help Audio Books

Fiction Audio Books

And here are some for your kids!

Juvenile Audio Books

Of course, Leisure Audio Books also has a business opportunity which is free to join.  You can find out more HERE.

If you want to listen to books on other subjects, you can find all the information HERE.

Enjoy your books!

Becoming Rich: It’s all about attitude

Friday, April 11th, 2008

Paul McKenna’s book, I Can Make You Rich, has a great title. It’s very compelling. The statement is a very confident one and on the cover, McKenna looks out at you candidly, re-inforcing his bold statement. If becoming rich is an important goal, I defy anyone not to want to buy it!

So, does it deliver?

I’m not rich yet, BUT half way through reading it I did take the opportunity of starting a home business, and I know that this was THE THING that will get me there.

So, yes, I believe it does deliver.

But, of course, ultimately it’s up to the reader. Paul McKenna can only make me rich if I apply the tools.

What I like about this book is that most of it is about clearing up our deep-seated beliefs and attitudes about money that may be holding us back. We may be doing all the right things that we need to be doing to make money, but if we have been taught somewhere in our lives that money is somehow corrupt, or that rich people are mean and selfish, that is going to be a barrier to being rich.

For example, while reading the book, I realised that I had some issues about “rich” people (which I had picked up from my father). It suddenly made complete sense why I have always struggled around money all my life. If I basically believe rich people to be greedy and selfish, how can I possibly allow myself to become one of those people? McKenna helps you to replace these in-built beliefs and thoughts with more positive ideas. One which particularly helps me is the way that money helps you to be the person you really are - it creates freedom; the freedom to express yourself, to help others and to do what you really want to do.

McKenna gives you lots of excises to overcome these issues and focus on positive thoughts around money, as well as an excellent half hour hypnosis cd which comes with the book.

In the last half of the book, he deals with more practical ways of making money, such as how to get ideas and building a business plan.

If you have money issues; if it appears that no matter what you do, you just find it difficult to get the money you need, or if becoming rich sees to be an uphill struggle, then I highly recommend this book.

If you have difficulty making decisions, read this book

Friday, March 28th, 2008

I have read many self help books in my time, but there is one that stands out as probably the most life changing I have ever read.

I have always had difficulty making decisions, or following an action that just might turn out to be the “wrong one”. This fear of failure often stopped me from moving forward.

This attitude changed profoundly when I read Susan Jeffers’ Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway.

Written in any easy-to-read format, this book challenges our inability to make decisions by turning them from win:lose scenarios to win:win scenarios.

I read this book several years ago, but I still remember and use these two lessons that I learned from reading this book:

1. There is no such thing as making good decisions or making bad decisions. Every decision we make teaches us something, and will move us forward in life, whether or not the decision turns out as we wanted.

2. It is our feeling of fear that we avoid, rather than the action itself. If we wait for this feeling to go away before taking action, we will end up doing nothing. Susan Jeffers teaches us how to acknowledge the fear and move through it instead of avoiding it so that we can take the next step forward in life.

There is of course much more to be learned from this essential self help book, but these two things have remained with me and have helped me to make many life decisions.

I recommend this book to anyone who is facing a big decision, or feels afraid to take a big step in life.

You can buy this book at Amazon, using the link below. Alternatively, if you have little time for reading, you can download the audio book, using the link further down.

Enjoy!
