Reading further, I realised there was a lot of sense in this argument, but you don’t have to despair. The ideas I learned are inspirational and motivational, and could get you back on track. If you think about a recession in a positive way, you can choose to see it as an opportunity for change. So, you might lose your job or have less to spend. But what if you didn’t really like your job in the first place?
In the today’s world more and more people are beginning to recognise that a traditional job is not the only way to earn money - and in fact the way we have been taught (get a good job, earn a regular income, retire in your sixties) is not as secure as it once was, and that is only too apparent every time there is a recession.
Setting up a home business may not be an immediate answer to today’s pressing bills - it will take time to grow -but it is certainly an investment against future economic downturns. And if your job is currently threatened, it would do no harm to start off a home business now as a commitment to a more secure future.
Many people are put off starting up on their own because of the costs involved. But in my business the start-up costs are minimal. Even if your budget is less than $50 you have the chance to create a business that will grow into something big.
Running an online home business is fun and exciting. It is also hard work. It takes time. But compared to an ordinary job, for me the rewards far outweigh the daily grind of working for someone else in a job that might not last anyway. I know that my financial future is secure. Is yours?

Well, I’m going to be honest. If there really was a sure fire fast way to make money we’d all be doing it. Of course, it happens. If you came across a first edition of the first Harry Potter book, you could sell it on Ebay for thousands. But that needs a certain amount of luck - a bit like winning the lottery. Guaranteed ideas to make money fast are a little more difficult to come by.
On the other hand, if you’re looking for a way of making money, without having to spend much to start with then an online home business could be the answer.
Most businesses need some capital to start with, and without the guarantee of success, this can put off many a potential entrepreneur. First of all is a company that I have used twice, and each time received cash refunds of several hundred pounds. They’ve been in the news recently, and are really helping people to get back unfair bank charges and mis-sold Payment Protection Insurance.
You can find them at Conkers.co.uk They really do work hard for you, and you don’t pay them until after you have received your refund (payment is a percentage of the money they get back for you). If they don’t get you a refund, you don’t pay them - as simple as that! There’s no way of losing on this.

If you are interested in getting paid to do online surveys, here’s one that’s only available in Australia and the UK: SurveyPayor.
I’m not quite sure how this one works, but it looks like a good deal - a £250 petrol voucher is not to be sneezed at! Free Gas Card
Payday Loans offer small loans (up to £1000) even if you have bad credit history. I don’t know what the interest rate is on this, but it certainly seems worth checking out. I’ve never found a company that loans small amounts like this before.

Most of us want more money at some point in our lives, but how is it done? Millions of search terms on Google are about money, people trying to find how to earn lots of money or how to reach financial goals.
The answers about setting goals are usually concerned with being specific, being realistic and setting a timescale. In other words, how much do I want, how much can I earn and by when?
But there is a more powerful way of doing this. Too many of us focus on the money, as if that was the end in itself. In fact, apparently a significant minority of people search on Google with the term, “All I want is money”.
Really? You mean, you want small pieces of green paper, round bits of metal or black figures on a piece of paper? That’s it?

Of course, we need to know how much money we need for these things - by all means, set your income goals, and put a date in your diary for when you want to be earning this amount - but make sure that when you visualise, you are visualising the yacht, the house, your kids’ future, your lifestyle, the results of your contribution.
