Setting your goals

As a trained life coach, I know the importance of setting goals for anything that you want in life - and this is just as true for achieving any success in mlm.

When we embark on any venture, we really need to know where we are heading.  If you set out on a journey, would you set out without knowing what your destination is, or without a map to get there?

Of course not.  But it’s amazing how many people start something in life without having a clear idea of their goals.

In network marketing or mlm, it’s very easy just to say, “well, I want to be wealthy”.  But this is actually rather a vague term.  What is wealthy for one person may be nothing to someone else.  If we don’t know exactly what we mean by “wealthy”, how are we going to achieve it?

Get clear about exactly what you want out of this business - and WHY.  The why is just as important as the WHAT and the HOW.

When you have decided why you want success (mine, for example, is to provide a lovely house for myself and my mother, and to give me time to do my main passion, writing), then you need to work out exactly what that success will look like.

If it’s money, then how much?  How much income do you need every month in order for you to have fulfilled your Why?  This is your goal.

Then you need to set a date.  When do you want to achieve this by?

Write it in your calendar and you are now making a commitment to succeed.

Be clear about your mlm goals.  Write them down.  Make a commitment to achieve them.  Now, you have something to aim towards.  This will motivate you into action.
