UK Money Saving Ideas

Friday, May 9th, 2008

Working online is wonderful because you feel that you are in a global community. However, I have to admit to sometimes getting tired of seeing everything in terms of dollars - and so many deals and offers you see online are only available for US residents. So I thought I’d put together a few UK money saving ideas that I have come across, that I hope will be of interest to my fellow Brits.

First of all is a company that I have used twice, and each time received cash refunds of several hundred pounds. They’ve been in the news recently, and are really helping people to get back unfair bank charges and mis-sold Payment Protection Insurance.

You can find them at Conkers.co.uk They really do work hard for you, and you don’t pay them until after you have received your refund (payment is a percentage of the money they get back for you). If they don’t get you a refund, you don’t pay them - as simple as that! There’s no way of losing on this.

The next offer looks useful if you don’t have a fax machine. You can try it for 30 days for free as well. It’s a service that allows you to send and receive fax messages by email. Here’s the link: Efax Plus

If you are interested in getting paid to do online surveys, here’s one that’s only available in Australia and the UK: SurveyPayor.

I’m not quite sure how this one works, but it looks like a good deal - a £250 petrol voucher is not to be sneezed at! Free Gas Card

Payday Loans offer small loans (up to £1000) even if you have bad credit history. I don’t know what the interest rate is on this, but it certainly seems worth checking out. I’ve never found a company that loans small amounts like this before.

Well, I hope you found something there for you. When I find a few more UK Money saving ideas, I’ll share them with you again.
