Taking time off from your business

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

Are you a frustrated network marketer?  Or are you suffering from internet burnout?

I love the internet, and I love working with my computer (when it’s not crashing!), and I absolutely love having a home business.

But there are times when even the most enthusiastic of us can hit a brick wall and suffer from marketing burnout or internet burnout!  This may be the time that we start to think that our business is not working, or we feel we are not doing enough.

There may be several reactions to this, but I think most people either feel like giving up at this point, or they try to battle on, feeling more and more frustrated.

When things are not going as well as you would like, it might just mean that you need to take some time off.   Often, this is the last thing we want to do.  We may feel that if we take time off, any progress we have made will slip, or nothing will get any further.

But a few days off can refresh your brain, give you new ideas and new enthusiasm when you do get back to work.  And don’t forget that your home business works for you when you are not there.  One person I know took a couple of days off to look after his sick children, and when he came back to his computer, he found he had made $110 in sales.

So if you are feeling tired, exhausted, frustrated or feeling like giving up, remember it may just be that it’s time for taking time off.  A break is probably just what you need.
