Monthly Review Day
Saturday, August 30th, 2008Just a very quick blog today - just to keep my hand in! There just seem to have been so many things happening recently I can hardly get a few hours to work on my home business. I am also currently setting up a new life coaching website (I will be telling you all about that when it’s live) with Joomla, which I’ve never used before, so I’m on a bit of a learning curve!
Today is my monthly review day, which I always have at the end of each month so I can keep an eye on what’s working, what isn’t, set some goals for the coming month and re-organise my timetable.
This is a very good idea if you run any kind of home business, because it’s just too easy to carry on doing the same old things when you’re working alone without asking yourself the right questions.
Having a regular review is a bit like having a regular meeting when you work for a company. It’s necessary to make sure you’re on the right track and to find out whether there’s anything else to be put into the mix. When you work on your own, there’s no-one to meet with, so the tendency is not to do it!
So my review day is a bit like having a meeting with myself (no - I’m not mad… not yet, anyway :)) - and in doing this I find that I always start the new month feeling excited, positive and enthusiastic.
If you have your own home business, I would add it to your diary as an essential appointment with yourself!
