It Really Possible to Make Money with Free Business Opportunities
Online?

It's got to be one of the most
overused words in the home
business industry. Everywhere you look, there is a free this and a free
that.
But can you really make money with free business opportunities online?
Well,
believe it or not, it is possible.
Using affiliate marketing as the business
model I'm going to explain how.
Most
affiliate marketing programs allow you to join for
free. Some of these
will offer an
upgrade option which is a matter of choice, and some offer a free trial
which
allows you to explore the site and then pay at a later date. The point is, you can be
set up with an
affiliate identification within a few moments without spending any
money, which
is then coded into an affiliate website.
Your
job is then to promote this affiliate website and you
earn a commission whenever you make a sale. The cost of doing this is
nothing
but the time it takes you to promote your free affiliate website.
However,
before you shout "Hurrah!" and jump right
in, you need to know a few things.
1.
Promoting an affiliate web for free is possible, but it's
hard work. It takes
a lot of mastery of
internet marketing methods such as article writing, blogging, forum
marketing,
traffic exchanges, directory submission and more.
2.
Your affiliate web page which the merchant has provided
you with is going to look the same as every other affiliate's web page
in this
program. This makes
it very difficult
for you to stand out and get above the competition.
3.
Most people who visit a website will look at it and leave
and you will have no way of following them up.
People like to think things over, but if they've
already left your site,
how do you ever get them back again?
There
are ways to get around these problems and improve your
chances - but this is where you do need to spend a bit of money.
In
order to present a unique "shop window" which
does not look like everyone else's, you can create your own website and
send
visitors to that. Of
course, you have to
pay for the hosting, but this is not really expensive at all.
In
order to be able to follow up your visitors, you capture
names and email addresses through a newsletter sign-up option on your
website
and deliver regular emails to them via an autoresponder. Again, the autoresponder
may cost some money,
but again, it's not much.
Another
option is to create a sales page on which you give a
personal testimonial on the product or service you are promoting. This
will put
you ahead of those affiliates who are only using the merchant's web
page.
So
although it is possible to make money with free business
opportunities online, you are much better off spending some money for a
website
and autoresponder. However,
compared to
most traditional home businesses, this is a very small cost.
